Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins ，a professional American football team，are located in the Miami, Florida metropolitan area. They compete in the ED(Eastern Division) of the AFC( American Football Conference )in the NFL.

The LSS(Land Shark Stadium) where they compete in their home games is in the suburb of MD (Miami Gardens). The headquarter is at the MDTF(Miami Dolphins Training Facility) in Davie, Florida. The Dolphins were founded by Joseph Robbie. In 1966,being an expansion team ,they play in the AFL, and participated in the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger. In the state of Florida ,they are the oldest major-league occupational sports franchise.

Following the 1971 season in SB(Super Bowl VI), there comes the team’s first SB show, but they have been defeated by the DC(Dallas Cowboys). In 1972,they finished the NFL's first and only completely perfect season ,culminating in a SB win and winning all fourteen regular season games, twofinal games and SBVII.

Until now, they are the only team that has done so. In 1972 in NFL history Dolphins kept the fourth perfect regular season. In addition,the team also won SB VIII, becoming the first team to show up in three successive SB and the second team to win back-to-back championships. Miami also showed up in SB XVII and SB XIX, losing both of the games.

For most of their history, the team was guided by Don Shula, who is the most successful head coach in vocationall football history. In only two of his twenty-six seasons with the club his Dolphins teams posted losing records.

In 1970s Six future Hall of Fame members competed for Miami, containing running back LC (Larry Csonka) and quarterback BG(Bob Griese). Between 1980s and 1990s, in NFL history ,quarterback DM (Dan Marino) became the most productive passer of all, which broke a number of league passing records. Before retiring after the 1999 season ,he led the Dolphins to gain five division titles, ten final appearances and SB XIX season. Currently on December 28, 2008,the Dolphins clinched the AFC East to win their first AFC Eastern Division title nine years ago. In winning their division, it was even more amazing how the team came into the season with a record of one win and fifteen losses from last year and accomplished their 2008 season with eleven wins and merely five losses.
